Compliance pre-review for financial services

Your draft, redlined in days seconds.

RedLine pre-reviews content against the firm's own guidelines and marks the issues the library is built to catch: wording to update, language to remove, disclosures to add.

A client newsletter going through a full review, then the fixes applied.

Break the resubmission loop

Most drafts bounce for predictable reasons: a missing disclosure, wording that drifted from the approved language, a line that should never run. RedLine catches the predictable ones before submission, so the review doesn't keep going back in the queue.

Without a pre-review

  1. 1Marketing sends the draft to compliance.
  2. 2It waits in the queue.
  3. 3It comes back marked up: wording that drifted from the approved language, a missing disclosure, a line that should never have run.
  4. 4Marketing rewrites and resubmits.

And around again, until it clears.

With RedLine

  1. 1RedLine reads the content against the firm's guidelines in seconds.
  2. 2Marketing fixes everything it flags before the draft leaves the desk.
  3. 3Compliance opens a draft with the known issues already gone.

Then compliance reviews it.

Why RedLine

No guesswork.

Every mark shows its work

Each flag names the guideline behind it, the document that guideline came from, and the condition that triggered it. When anyone asks why a line was marked, the answer is already on the record.

Built-in FINRA 2210 and SEC Marketing Rule checks

Every scan runs FINRA Rule 2210 and SEC Marketing Rule 206(4)-1 checks alongside the firm library: fair and balanced, testimonials and paid promoters, performance (gross with net, no SEC-approved), hypotheticals, and the 2210 legends the piece triggered. Citations land on the mark. Replacement wording still comes only from the firm. The marks are recommendations, not a ruling. This is not a complete marketing list.

FINRA 2210 · 17 CFR 275.206(4)-1

Not a complete marketing list.

It never writes compliance language

Fixes are quoted word for word from wording the firm has already approved. Where the library has no answer, RedLine flags the passage and says so, instead of inventing one.

“Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.”

How it works

Three steps.

01.

Load firm guidelines

This step belongs to compliance. The firm loads approved disclosures and standing rules, edits them, and switches them on or off. RedLine stores the wording verbatim with the condition that triggers each item. People submitting content scan against the library; they do not edit it.

The knowledge base screen: a guideline library of 18 disclosures and 5 rules extracted from 2 uploaded firm documents.

02.

Submit the content

A newsletter, a deck, an email, or an ad graphic — submit the content in any of 10+ file types. RedLine runs one pass against the firm library and the built-in FINRA 2210 and SEC Marketing Rule pack. The marks are recommendations, not a ruling.

03.

Review & Export

After reviewing the recommended annotations, export a RedLine review copy to share the marks, or an edited copy that includes the changes already made. A registered principal still signs off. RedLine does not replace that review.
